Negligent design or construction techniques at the property or adjacent properties can result in damages to your property. We are routinely hired by attorneys or property owners to examine structures and grounds from a geotechnical and drainage viewpoint to determine whether construction activities such as excavation, dewatering, grading, surcharging, and stockpiling are likely to have caused damage(s) to a property. Typically, this service will include a subsurface investigation which will involve drilling soil borings or test pits in order to obtain samples for laboratory testing and engineering analyses.

We will perform a floor level survey of the structure to determine whether or not it has moved.  The drainage conditions at the site will also be examined.  Adequacy of the foundation system and design of any retaining walls or swimming pools will be evaluated by examining the construction documents (if available).  Upon completion of our evaluation, we will issue a report identifying any faulty construction techniques and repair recommendations.
